Gemini Instratech manufactures a wide range of CTs (Wound Primary / Bar Primary / Window) available from 3.6 kV to 36 kV. Current Transformers are cast using a liquid resin system with plasticizer processed under vacuum at controlled temperatures. All CTs have been type tested as per latest revision of IEC 60044‐1. A variety of different frames cover CTs with primary currents ranging from 5 Amperes to 5000 Amperes. CT designs are tailor-made to suit customer requirements for specific applications.

Cyclo-aliphatic resin is well proven and the most adopted outdoor insulation worldwide, in a wide range of climatic conditions. Our present range of products are available up to 36 kV system voltages.

Design

The chief insulating agent used is non-aging Cyclo-Aliphatic Resin , which is a proven insulating material. The instrument transformer is encapsulated in the resin in a single process, under vacuum and in controlled temperature. The transformer is very compact and practically requires very little maintenance.

The Instrument Transformer is designed and processed to obtain partial discharge-free performance even at elevated voltages.

Cyclo-Aliphatic Resin Cast Instrument Transformers are designed to international standards.
